Rabbi Ben Packer is the Director and “Supreme Commander” of the Jerusalem Heritage House. Originally from the Commonwealth of Virginia, Rabbi Packer graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995 and moved to Jerusalem to study at an institution of advanced Jewish studies. After serving as an infantry combat soldier in the Givati Brigade of the Israel Defense Forces, Rabbi Packer married the lovely Esther (Abramson) Packer and received rabbinical ordination. He served as a “Rabbi on Campus” back at UNC and Duke University before returning to Israel and taking the helm at the Jerusalem Heritage House. His tours of Jerusalem and Hevron have become legendary. Rabbi Packer looks forward to hosting you at The House and showing you the incredible physical and spiritual beauty of Jerusalem and Israel!
